The slaves have just got home from a place called ‘holiday’.
Holiday is a funny place, because before they go they are very excited and say things like ‘I can’t wait to go on holiday’, and when they get back they seem tired and grumpy and say things like ‘I can’t believe how much washing we bought back’. If they don’t like washing then why did they bring so much of it back?
It’s very confusing.
While our regular slaves are on holiday we get a new one, and that part is very nice.
Our regular slave (the boring one) leaves lots of instructions about dull things like fresh vegetable portion sizes, but the new slave is definitely quite generous with these.
We always have to go on the scales when the regular slaves come home, and the boring one always tuts and mutters under her breath about guinea pigs who have been fed too much carrot.
I think the big slave also goes on the scales when she comes home because she always shrieks and wails about too much wine and chocolate.
Slaves can be quite complicated.
This time they went to the ‘Land of Primark Bags’, so I get a nice new Primark bag, as well as different treats to the ones we usually have.
The big slave was quite pleased to tell us about the healthy new treats she had bought us, at not an inconsiderable expense.
Naturally we turned our noses up at her fancy treats, and ate the much cheaper (and less healthy) treats that the little slaves had chosen for us.
I am hoping that next time they go on holiday they bring back less washing and more treats for us.
