holly's teeth

Well i had my holly out for cuddles a few min's ago. Anyways she started eating some food she had stored in her mouth then a a funny smell came from her mouth. So i look in her mouth (which i had to get my mum to pin her down to get it open she is a strong girl) and i noticed the tooth on on the left handside at the top there is 1/4 of it missing.

she hasnt got an sowrs around he mouth or anything and her teeth are nice and clean and all the other 3 are fine (the top right one and the 2 bottom ones) She is eating as normally aswell holly loves her food. I do she lieks to bit the wood at the side of the bedroom of her cage and her plastic house

and just to note she is 3 years 4 months old she has never had any other health problems before and this is the first time i has really looked in her mouth before as i have had never had any reason to look in her mouth before

If all the other teeth are in good shape, then the break should grow in just fine with no treatment needed. The smell was probably the stored food in the back of her mouth, some piggies are terrible for holding chewed up food for some time.

A foul smell which persists after emptying and flushing the mouth with water could mean oral infection or abscess. A full dental examination (no sedation necessary) would have to be done using buccal pad separators to check the molars if any issues were suspected.

as i say holly dose like her food so her having lots stored in her mouth is more like her. well is she stores it in her mouth she wotn need to shre with the other 2

the smell did ago when she had done eating tho

I'd probably pop her to the vet for a once over. Hope things go well
