Junior Guinea Pig
Tomorrow, workers will be coming to my house to steam-clean all the carpets in the basement, which recently flooded after days of heavy rain. I remember that when we had this done at my parents' house after Hurricane Katrina, the work was very loud and involved a lot of people and machines going in and out of the house. I know that my guinea pigs are startled by slamming doors and loud voices, etc. Is there anything I could do to help E.Q. and Bissau deal with the disruption and noise or would it be better to take them elsewhere tomorrow? (My husband is taking his border collie to stay at a friend's house because we are certain he will make a nuisance of himself.) Their habitats are upstairs, not in the basement, but I have no idea where the workers and machines will be located, and I want this to disrupt them as little as possible.
