Hey everyone :)

Were currently growing spinach, carrots, frisee, parsley, grass and dandelions for the guineas.

I only feed carrots twice a week as i know they are high in vitamin A.

Grass and dandelions are fed everyday.

As for the spinach, frisee and parsley - are they able to have these on a daily basis?

I'm ideally trying to produce a good home grown salad for the pigs that they can have on a daily basis.

Any other suggestions for what to grow?

Thanks in advance

Mandy

Hi,

I am growing oakleaf lettuce which is a variety that you can pick the leaves and it grows again which is very economical:))

Also I am growing strawberries, tomatos for treats and lavender:))

Lettuce and any other salad leaves are megga easy to grow :)
Cucumbers are another great one to grow, as you get so many of one plant!

We also grow peas, herbs (they again are very easy) different sorts of cabbage, kale, broccoli and sprouts.

Hi there,

I believe that both spinach and parsley although high in vit C are also quite high in calcium which can then cause issues with balder stoners etc...

so they should be fed in moderation (not every day). Piggies do love them though
