Where else can I post this and it be appreciated as much as I currently am appreciating it! Haha

We let no mow may get a bit out of hand in the garden (ok ok, no mow all year yet..!)

So yesterday like the crazy lady I’m sure I’m known as by the neighbours! I trot out with my scissors and a box cutting the grass. I laid it out in the sun to attempt to dry it and make my own hay.
The sun was good but obviously needed longer, I saw the weather was going to change today so brought it in the house in the box and this morning I’m drying it fully in batches in the dehydrator!

I'm so pleased with it. My house smells gorgeous (hubby agrees less with this as he has slight allergies to hay! Lol)

That looks lovely. We've not cut our grass with anything but scissors for years. When the boys can't go out to eat it it's delivered to them twice a day rain or shine. My neighbours all think I'm mad but are happy to offer to let me go and cut their grass when ours runs out in the winter! Don't think we'd ever have enough to make hay though. I've got bunches of sow thistle and dandelion hanging up to dry in the green house at the mo.

Yes every morning without fail I’m out with my scissors cutting breakfast haha. Our garden is quite long so it got a bit crazy but some really nommy seed heads (so the pigs tell me...!)

Ooh yummy sow thistle, bet the boys can’t wait.

They love sow thistle, shame it's so high in calcium so they can't have much. Because of shopping problems last year I didn't weed the garden just in case, this year I have masses of dandelion and sow thistle, it's a shame to waste it so I thought I would give drying it a go so they can continue to have a treat in the winter.

The hunt for the perfect hay is over guys! Hahaha. Just a shame it’s not very time efficient. But at least I can make them garden hay as a treat once or twice a year!
A great reason to let the garden get overgrown 😂😂047EAE87-E3E8-4BD2-A794-698592022559.webpCB2BBF7F-A00A-473A-A6C6-22D2EDF17D60.webp24B415D9-5873-43B8-835A-C459F0118A2B.webpED9BB167-911E-4FC4-8E91-8FF233B1B6D7.webp
