There are tiny black dots on my guinea pigs almost microscopic they do not move and they are not coming off of my guinea pigs I haven't been able to find anything to get rid of them since many of my local Pet shops do not carry what is advised to use online is there anyone with any sort home remedy I can use to sort this tricky problem out would much appreciate it am new to all this and am simply trying to do my best also a lot of local vets are so overpriced to even view my guinea pigs it's a heavy cost ...

if you know the name of the right product for guinea pigs you could buy it online. Some products for other pets and also the ones for humans cannot be used and the piggie could even die with them. But mites is not an emergency and in some days you could get the right product.

The best way to get rid of them is with an ivermectin product of good quality. You may have to order it online, I am afraid. Pet shop stuff is low-dosed broad spectrum that will not help in an acute case, but can make things worse rather than better. There is no home remedy that works.
In persistent cases sometimes a two-pronged treatment with lice'n'easy shampoo and a good quality ivermectin or selamectin-based product can do the trick. My own UK vet has treated with selamectin-based stronghold (similar to revolution), which is prescription only here, but it was very effective for my new arrival Nye.

I would however strongly recommend for you to build up a vet fund in case your piggy falls ill and needs treatment (antibiotics, painkillers, operations etc.) Illness and emergencies never happen at a convenient time, but they can cause real distress of you cannot pay for treatment.
