I have been very busy but finally got around to making the guinea pig sack to it!

It's dark, but hopefully pics will come out...

Close up of fabric....

I bought a new sewing machine, thread etc but forgot to buy a tape measure so had to guess the size! Ha ha. I think I made it too big but perhaps my two boys will get in there together!

I used the German site for instructions. Very easy to do but I hand finished the outside as the layers of fabric with the wadding was rather thick and I didn't want the sewing machine to blow up!

The hand sewing was hampered by the needle I used. I had bought a pack of needles but neglected to read they were self threading! What a load of rubbish they are! They may be self threading but they constantly unread themselves and they were all very blunt! Terrible just terrible to use!

If I get home in time after work I am going to have another sewing session! I have in mind a round house to make!

It looks great!

Looks great, have been planning on making my own soon. Am inspired....bet your piggies will love it :)

Right, I am now going to make my round house. I will take pictures of it at each stage. I know what I want it to end up looking, I just have to try and get the idea into fruition! Watch this space.....

Ok, now bear in mind that I am making this freestyle and it could all turn out pear shaped! Ha ha

I have cut six circles. I cut them freehand as my dinner plates were too big to use as a template and my side plates too small! The are not perfectly round!

The picture will show you three circles, but you will actually need two of each one. Two of a patterned fabric which will be on the outside. Two of the wadding and two of the fleece.

Next, I have cut three strips, one of the patterned fabric, one of the wadding and one of the fleece. I have cut these freehand. The depth of the strip will be the depth of the house. I have made the wadding strips an the fleece strips not quite long enough to go around the circle, and the gap will be the entrance to the round house! I have a horrible feeling I've made it too small, but this is a prototype, so I am going to run with it!

First error noted! You only need one of each circle not two as I first mentioned. !

I can use the other three circles to make another one if this turns out ok!
