I have a castrated male and he has 2 hooks at the end of his penis, I have read some where thats this is normal! I have never seen it before, could any one tell me why he has this?!

They're used in reproduction..I'll leave it to the imagination to decide what they're for though..they're exactly that though, hooks! And completely normal :)

Thanks but its the first I have ever seen. Dose it mean hes a super stud! Trouble is hes catrated! I have rescued about 20 odd guinea pigs in the past and never seen this.

All male piggies have hooks at the end of their willies. Normally they are tucked away, for no-one to see. When their willies come right out when they are excited or when cleaning their willies (sometimes it has to be done:{) then you will see them. otherwise they are hidden! Don't worry - your piggy is normal! :)

As for castration - I thought it was their testicles which were removed as that is where the sperm is produced? I don't know as none of my piggies have ever been castrated & I like it that way! :))

Love your boar! x)x)x) (sorry, I'm slightly boar mad....;))

Hugs & squeaks from my manly quintet

Neutered/castrated boars have no testes but they still have their little winklies regardless! He's probably getting a bit frisky as it's Spring and mommy's seen something she shouldn't! :)p
