igglepiggle

Today I am irrationally excited!
My two gorgeus girlies have shown they are truly happy with their new home with me and have been wheeking and popcorning! This is the first time this has happened so far. I gave them some extra hay because its cold, some fresh dried stuff and a huge pile of different leaves and veggies in a nice clean hutch and they just went barmy! ;D Iggy was upstairs with the hay wheeking her head off, then Piggy who was downstairs found the leaves and was wheeking her head off, then they both heard each other and ran and swapped places, jumping and wheeking all the time, before both settling down together to nibble the leaves, it was lovely! It must have been like guinea pig Christmas! :D
I am now waiting for wheeking in anticipation of my visits! 98)

No pics yet (digi cams on the blink) I've had them for about 4 weeks, they are lovely and are just startng to lose their timidity around me. :)

awwwwwwwwww i love the sound of a wheeking piggie :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: (sadly i've not heard it for over 1 1/2yrs :'()
Sounds like your girls are having heaps of fun and really coming around which is great O0 :smitten: :smitten:

Yes, am really pleased with their progress, I am working on the picking them up part now. Iggle is not too bad, she stays on my knee and doesn't really wriggle too much in my arms, but Piggle is just like a little fury houdini! ::) She wriggles in my arms, runs up my sleeves and into the inside of my coat which is a bit scary when you are trying to carry her accross the lawn! I have to go inside and carefully remove my clothes until I find her! ::) (Not very pleasent for the neighbours! :o) But they both hide and run away when I try and pick them up, which makes the whole experience a bit traumatic for them, I have now gone back to just offering them food in the hutch from my hand and only picking them up if they appear compliant, in the hope that I can build their trust up a bit. I do think Iggle quite likes a snuggle though :smitten:
