Hooray for my new friend!

Hi

Ive just made a new friend all because of my little piggies. I used to pass this woman ever morning and we would just say hi, but on Friday she stopped and said "I hear you have a couple of guinea pigs" and that was that we spent an hour chatting all about our pigs. Apparantly her grand daughter is a friend of my sons and thats how she knew! She had 5 guinea pigs and i went over to have a look. Yesterday she came over to tell me that over the weekend she had taken on 10 more! A neighbour had told her about someone who was mistreating these guinea pigs....they had been left in hutches in a closed shed with no food or water in all that recent heat. She immediately went over and confronted the owner and PAID this person to take the guinea pigs away. They are now in clean hutches with lots of food and comforts and seem to be doing well. She needs a medal, and so do all the other people who rescue these poor little creatures! Shes asked if i can help her out a little which I'm going to do today.....with cleaning and cuddling and ive been and bought her a big bag of veggies for them all.....you should see them, they re gorgeous. :)

I'm so pleased you have made a piggie friend - they are the best type!

It's brilliant that those poor piggies have been saved too - I bet you will really enjoy meeting them all!
 
I agree with Kate. All friends made through a mutual love of animals are definately the best type. I'm so glad you and your friend met up and am really glad that those poor piggies have the chance of a decent life.

That's great, and great that she was able to rescue the piggies in time.

If I wrote what I thought about people who mistreat piggies I would probably be thrown off the forum for my language.

Yea, that is great. The only people who would understand us really are animal lovers and piggy lovers!
Piggies arent common here in the states, so I have people who dont know what Goldie is. She was even mistaken for a golpher! ;D
 
anyone who does'nt like animals I dont give a second glance to, they are not worth knowing, well done that lady for taking in and caring for the poor little mites, and what I think of the people she had to pay to rescue them from is not printable, utter scumbags and that is mild lol keep us updated about them if you can
 
Piggie people are most definitely the best kind of friend! ;D

Well done to your friend for rescuing these poor babies, pics would be lovely :)
 
Thanks for your kind words, ive passed them all on to her.

I'll try and take some pics and post them on here, but my camera is on the blink, so bear with me.
