Binky - background. Got in Spetember allegedly 10 weeks old but weighed 195g (so either not 10 weeks or very ill or indeed both). URI given baytryl and syringe fed and recovered. Did injure rear leg but that healed and she is fine.
Constantly talks.
Weighs 1085g - but is compact and chunky (she is meant to be according to breed spec but personally if she lost 100g I wouldn't be unhappy).
Adores daddy, tolerates me, tolerates other pigs (she has never been that friendly).

Recently - (I can't put my finger on it and I may be worrying for nothing). I though that she had a limp but it was so subtle no one else in the family could see it. She was jumping on and off the carrot house and I presumed that she just jarred a front leg due to her sheer size (Zigg bounces happily on and off as does willow but they are muscly and athletic, Binky is not). The limp is gone but she still seems 'stiff'.

Also she chatters to herself a lot as she walks but recently I have wondered if some of this was hooting. Yesterday she was absolutly hooting but then sneezed and it was gone - that is the only time I can say for sure she was hooting. She isn't losing weight, she is eating and moving about. If it continues I'll take her to the vet but at the moment I can't put my finger on it. I am worried given her start in life that it may be a heart issue but I don't know.

If you are worried take Binky to the vet for a full health check. You know your piggy better than anyone and if you're not happy about how she is a vet check will put your mind at rest. A vet would rather see a healthy piggy with an anxious owner than a sick piggy.:)

Keep a close eye on her, sounds like some dust up nose. Widget is a hooter and normally every other week she'll be hooting until a big sneeze... if if continues for a few hours with no sneeze then is the time to worry. Keep a watchful eye, but of course remember no one knows your piggies like you so if you suspect something is up then trust your piggy instincts and get her checked out

Agree, go with your gut and get her checked out. Would your vet agree to a conscious xray? that way they could check if there is any fluid on her chest or around her heart or if the heart is enlarged. It does sound more like she had dust up her nose though. Also a lot of heart pigs tend to lose weight, though there are always exceptions to the rule.

That's exactly what Binky did - huge sneeze and all OK. Its more the immobility but I am only one who sees it and she is a jimmy 5 bellies (she is dense to the touch like a little rock. - If she was a horse she would be a cob). I am going to watch her for a few more days and see what happens.
