what i always do is start the hoover in the next room then slowly walk in so it's not a sudden loud noise... doesn't bother them at all..

I take my piggies out of the room when I hoover, I only hoover their room when they are next door in the playpen. But many people use hand held hoovers to poop scoop their cages I think. Like any loud household noises they will probably get used to it, but if you have any particularly nervous or new piggies it could be a set back to gaining their trust. I mostly use my piggies as an excuse not to hoover much at all

I never did when mine were indoor piggies. I had one for a short while who used to popcorn when the hoover went on

They get used to it. Just don’t start it right next to cage. Ours got used to the noise very quickly they only run off if it is by the cage now.

It definitely depends on temperament, my mad Piggle gets really excited by fireworks, hoovers, crying babies, anything loud and unusual- but Puggle and Blod and Ollie get very nervous about noise!

My piggies are outside but I do the same thing with the lawnmower or any other noisy garden equipment - start it away from their shed so the sudden noise isn’t so close. My rabbit and one of the piggies just aren’t bothered by any of it, but the other piggy was run off and hide for a few minutes until he realises the scary noise in the distance isn’t actually hurting him and then he gets some bravery back!

Mine don’t mind at all.
True - I usually vacuum after I’ve cleaned the cage so they’re too busy stuffing themselves to bother

My piggies seem to be fine with the hoover, even the baby pigs. I have to hoover like twice a day now and I think they’ve gotten use to it lol
