Pigwhisperer
Adult Guinea Pig
My girls were both scanned for ovarian cysts some months ago with "nothing significant" found.
They have continued to live happily together most of the time, but with 3-day periods of non-stop rumbling, nipping, chasing, chinning, squeaking and, this time, mounting.
I'm certain it's their "seasons" because it happens every couple of weeks (I'm not sure exactly) and every time it's Clover who is the moody one first, then she calms down and Silk kicks off.
What I want to know is - can the vet do anything to calm it down? Now they are living indoors it's very noisy and disruptive for the rest of the family! Plus the girls are getting worried about how viciously Silk is "attacking" Clover this time so that it looks like I'll have to separate them for a bit - put them in adjacent enclosures.
