Late last night I noticed this disgusting little insect in the boy's cage, crawling around in the hay. I got rid of it but I still feel so guilty that they were sharing a cage with that thing. Now I'm worried that there might be more somewhere.
I completely changed the cage (this was at about 1am), fresh towels, fleece, hay etc but I still feel very neglectful.
They have had a bum and belly bath this morning as well but I can't shake the feeling that everything is dirty. :(

Aww don't feel guilty. :( I'm sure they are fine, it will have just been one stupid insect that found the hutch and because it was so clean, they fancied living there too! :)) I don't think they'll be any more and your boys will be fine. :)

Don't beat yourself up, hun.

There are lots of bugs around at this time of year. A huge bluebottle has taken a shine to our living room and we just can't seem to get rid of it grrrr

Sorry to hear about the little invader.

It isn't your fault.. This is the time of year to find creepy crawly things.

I hate the insects too. We bought an electronic flyzapper the other day as there seem to be so many flies right now. YUK. :(

Not your fault and well done going for the total clean out at that time of night. :)

Don't use the flyzapper near food. they make insects explode :)>>>
