hi, this is more of a question for the health of my guinea pigs, are horseflies dangerous to them? google is awful for an answer, and i seem to have some horseflies getting into the room my guinea pigs are in that i can’t monitor 24/7. I'm just worried, and if there are any risks, what should i look out for? horseflies are a challenge to catch so i want to be completely sure they’re safe.

Hello I don’t know for sure but horseflies will bite animals and humans and can spread disease so I’d reduce the risk if you can.
I’ve had to resort to using a flypaper over my c&c cage - I hate doing it but with hot weather it was difficult to control the flies coming in.
I haven’t had bluebottles or horseflies coming in but just 1 would be too many for me !

yess I'm having a look now thank you! i was just worried when i had no way of keeping them safe
