I have ordered my new cage for George and Charlie, here : http://www.zooplus.ie/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_hutches/natura/49303
And a hay rack here : http://www.zooplus.ie/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_hutches/accessories/93108. The cage is brilliant, scroll down the page to see what it does. The hay rack screws into the wall of the cage. And I waswondering if I should keep my old cage for a hospital cage. Its the nearly same as this cage : http://www.zooplus.ie/shop/rodents/cages/rabbit_hutches/natura/14642. The only difference is that I built my run after I got the cage. So do you think its a good idea ? -c-c-c

spare cage

i would keep your other cage for sick piggies or quarentine piggies. it is always handy to have a spare cage especially if there are fights and fall outs between piggies.
how is george going with his teeth? hoping he is feeling better!
lucky boys to be getting a lovely cage, maybe i could cage nap:(|):(|):(|)
hugs for charlie, george and to you for doing a wonderful job!
i bought a cage of ebay for jessie and the damn thing is too small either have to get bigger one or add an extension to it.
jessie and zoe are seperated as zoe has been bullied too much by jessie and the late choloe zoe now is scared of other piggies.
good for you and your lucky boys!:)p:)p:)p

If you have space to store it then hold onto it, you never know when a spare cage will come in handy. I had to use a cat carrier last year when Giggles had an op to remove a lump. We'd had a house fire a few weeks before and were renting so had to sneek her into the rented house for 10 days.

Don't get rid of old used cages unless they are unsafe.

Hubby is making another layer on my hutch for the boys, they are currently housed in a triangular hutch which is not big enough for them, so when they have moved into the new one, the triangular will be my spare hutch - for emergencies!

As I look after all sorts of "run away" animals the spare cages and hutches come handy!
