Hot guinea pigs

Hi! one of our pipes in our house froze, so we had to turn off the AC. My guinea pigs are on the 2nd level, so it’s extra hot up there. I have the fan turned all the way up, but is there anything else I can do to keep them cool? Thanks!

Please be aware that a fan, when not ventilated, can/will circulate hot air making the issue worse. If there is a cool wind outside I would recommend opening your windows but if there is not it would be best to close all windows and curtains and then ventilating when it cools down at night time.

I put frozen ice pods or freezer blocks wrapped in old towels in the cage when it’s very hot

Yep, freezer blocks, frozen bottles of water around the cage cover in towels to lower the temperature.
