I have trad all the advice about keeping the piggies cool. However I'm out from around 11 on Friday and not sure what measures to take while I'm out. ? I've got ice bottle and packs covered in a tea towel . They are in the shade all day. Should I bring them inside? Or will it be too hot with the windows closed? Thanks

Please bring them indoors. Even in the shade it is still too hot in hutches as warm breezes raise the temperature inside considerably. It wouldn’t be safe to leave them out.
Close curtains to stop the sun coming through and use all the other measures (frozen bottles etc)

OK I will do that thank you. I also apologise for my spelling. My fat thumb keeps getting the wrong letters on my phone

Hi
Please read this link here, which I have posted yesterday: Hot weather warning for the UK - plan now to keep your piggies safe!

It contains lots of helpful tips and links to further detailed measures that you can take. It is the combination of as many as you can implement that makes all the difference; starting with bringing your piggies indoors in temperatures over 25 C (and where to put them if you have to improvise) and tips on how to keeping your house as cool as possible, too).
