Hothouse lettuce?

Is this ok to give the piggles? never heard of it before, so a bit wary of it.

Hmm, its from morrisons, was only 50p.
Didn't have a description just said perfect in salads, so I dont think iits peppery?:^-
 
I give it to my piggies and they love it.
They even prefered it to iceburg which i had to get the other week as Morrisons had run out of the Hothouse lettuce :))

Sorry but guinea pigs should never eat iceburg lettuce.

Oh, why's that?
One of my other piggies, Rosie, wouldn't anything but iceburg. I even tried her on other lettuce but she wouldn't eat it

Just read about iceburg. Can cause diarrhoea. They can have small pieces.
The whole 4 years i had Rosie she never had diarrhoea.
She just wouldn't eat anything but iceburg
 
Funnily enough I brought some from Morrisons tonight for 50p, they had run out of the usual romaine...I don't think the piggies noticed rolleyes
 
Mine either, they inhaled it. I think I've found their new favourite :))

Don't worry I read that about a tiny bit too, & if it never caused upset tummy with your piggy it was fine :)

I thought lettuce was soporific anyway it doesn't seem to be with my piggies lol

I have never given my piggies lettuce in any shape or form until reading this forum, & I've kept them for 11 years rolleyes
