I know with hammies you have to be careful of things like air fresheners etc but wondering if it's the same with piggies?
In particular I'm thinking of fly spray at the moment...we have 2 particularly annoying b*ggers flying in the livingroom and I'd like to use fly spray to get rid of them. But don't want to hurt the piggies either.
I was going to post about this. I have Cuzzy indoors and haven't sprayed air freshner around him, wasn't sure if it was harmful! When I polish I spray into the duster as a rule but was concerned over the smells with him being indoors!
I use pot pourri stuff (can't spell that) so me house don't stink!
Ooo do you know what's good for flies - a simple trigger spray filled with water. It floors the flies pretty quickly if your aim is good, and no harmful chemicals are getting sprayed. You might have a few spray puddles to clean up afterwards though! ;D
I hate flies... they are sooo annoying. We have one of those plug in blue light electric fly killer things ... it zaps the flies when they land on it! It works well. I think my husband brought it from ebay or somewhere off the internet (and no chemicals are involved!) O0 88)
I chase the flies around my bedroom and out of the window ;D ;D I never spray air freshener or anything like that either..also I hate the smell of polish so that never even enters my room ;D
Aw i can't kill flies i feel like a murderer lol ! so i get my boyfriend to catch them and throw them out the door, if he's not around i spend a long time wafting them out of the window lol x ;D

Funnily enough tonight we had a fly > > get inside, so OH chased it from one room to another (yep funny to watch) meanwhile all doors blocked to downstairs for Duke's area O0
I only buy non allergenic but mmmmmmmmmm don't want to risk it :-\
That's what I'm like Glynis I won't spray anywhere near Cuzzy. I spray in another room onto a cloth for polish, sooner he is outside the better, there is a definite piggy smell in the morning!...lol
I use fly paper, ok doesnt look very nice but it works. I have one of those electric zappers too but it doesnt work unless the flies go into it, which is a fat lot of good >
I have citronella repellants around the room ( out of piggy reach of course) to repel the flies - plus I have net screens velcro'ed over all my windows so air can come in but flies cant! Don't use any aerosols - I use wipes for furniture etc.
