Hey guys,

I know it's a weird question but i want to get some timothy hay from hayforpets but how big is the 9.5 kilo bag cos i want to know how long it might last?

I also want to compare it to the bag of meadow hay from a farm shop near me which last me about 6 weeks for £9...

Thanks in Advance!

:)

We get our Timothy hay from here its a 10kg bag http://www.timothyhay.co.uk/ the measurements are on the web page..

We buy our meadow hay by the small bale from a small organic farm and its slightly larger than the Timothy Hay bale and is less than 1/3 price of Timothy hay at £6.00 ..

We mix and match our hays.. and it lasts for about 4 to 6 weeks.. for 11 piggies..

Thank you, i think i might give them a treat and them some timothy hay this month when my wages are through tomo, as they seem to love it so much more than other hays.

Ours are the same.. We use the meadow hay for bedding etc, and the Timothy/meadow mix.. for eating.. :D

I did a thread ages ago called 'hay for pet' hay and put a photo in showing the size of the bags - might give you a good idea. I would have included link but I'm using my phone as on my break at work and it just seems a bit complicated at this time of night!

Ditto, we get a bale from a local farm for a fiver and keep it in a green bin.
The Timothy hay from http://www.timothyhay.co.uk/ is great and well worth the price. 10kg is a bit shorter than a std small bale of hay. Looking at their website, it appears to be the only thing they do, specialist hay growers methinks. As Lisaali says, the measurements can be found on the website.
