How big do piggies grow? Ours are 13 weeks old and fairly small and seeing some photos of someof your piggies, they appear to grow quite big, but can someone tell me roughly how big they do become?

My 4 year old is heavier with bigger feet than my 2 6 month olds but not so much longer in her body, it just depends on what type you have, I noticed 3 in Pets at Home for adoption and the man that worked there was shocked how big they were, they were like rabbits! it just depends on genes and things as well. Roughly around 8-10 inches in length! xx

My boys seem to be middle weights, Bothing weighing in around 1kg, and measuring aprox 28cms in length and 15cms width. :)

Its easy to see at your little ones age why people think a smaller cage will be fine, but once they get fully grown i cant imagine two piggies being happy in a small per shop cage. They just get so much bigger! :)

a healthy weight can be anything from 800g's to 1400g's...depending on whether they're male or female, how long they are, how stocky they are...it's very variable. Boars tend to be bigger and stockier than sows, but then I've noticed with my pigs that my sheltie and coronet sows get very fat, very quickly, and I have to watch what they eat!

This may be useful to you:

Piggies usually gain more weight when they are in a settled environment i.e after rehoming etc. so weigh your piggy regularly. Also indicates illness if there is a loss.
One of my girls who was small and was around 400g when we had her went up to 780g within three weeks rolleyes She's a fluff monster now x)

My two are about the asme age as yours, and they are both different sizes. TBH i think Rosie is catching up with maud a bit now, but at first there was a noticeable difference. I have had GP's in the past that have been huge, and others tha have remained small. If I remember correctly, the HUGE piggie was a Rex boar and the smallest was an abby sow.
