How Can I Get My Guinea Pig To Act Normal?

Even though my guinea pig Cherry is alone, I believe she should be acting relaxed?
I am not a new guinea pig owner nor an old, and I have had her for almost 2 years now, and she hasn't experienced a loss.
What can I do to have her behave happily?

Quite simply - she needs a friend! Piggies are herd animals and aren't designed to live without a piggy friend. Do you have a piggy rescue nearby that can help you bond cherry with a friend?

if she isn't relaxed and you've had her this long then she is most probably lonely. a new friend should help her relax and be as happy as possible. if this is a recent change in behaviour though then she could be ill and i'd get her checked over by an exotics/guinea savvy vet as soon as possible.
