How do I connect the 2 3x2 cortex bases?

The instructions aren't clear and I don't particularly want to fully built the 2 bases and leave a lip right in the middle of the cage.

TIA.

You’ve got a 6x2 Kavee cage if I remember rightly.
There is a video on their website of building the cage but you need to go to the description of the product and press ‘view more’ and then there is a YouTube link . It doesn’t look like you have to have the lip in the cage, you just don’t fold the sides up where the two pieces meet in the middle and instead leave them flat. The video didnt seem to show the two pieces actually connecting to each other
If you are worried about it moving apart then you could always tape them together.

I did get a 6x2 but I thought that meant 6ft by 2ft which would fit the space perfect. I didn't realise it meant 6 grid by 2 grid so for the space I could only use 5 grids for the length 😂

Oh no. Yes c&c cages are referred to by the number of grids.
A 5x2 is still an absolutely fantastic size for two sows

I'm so stupid haha.

I've got 2 spare grids should I need them at least 😂 hopefully I won't.

It's an easy mistake to make. The way they make their corex in two pieces means it will still fit overlapped and one day you may have room to make it bigger!
I've lost count over the last 10 years how many times I've changed my cages. I now have loads of spare grids as I have 3 extra 2x4 cages I can put up in the workshop we have in the garden if we are painting in doors. I also have enough grids for 2 x 2x3 cages at my daughters house in case piggies have to come on holiday with me!
