How do i encourage him to drink from a bottle

i've decided i'll try once again to get Duke to drink water, but this time i'm trying a water bottle again haven't done so for well over a year... he's had the bowl only in that time. He's never drunk water in all the time we've had him that we've seen :-\
I've tried a bottle a couple of times with no success, has anyone got a whizz of an idea to encourage him to suckle on it?

I usually put a bowl and a bottle in and as soon as i see them drink frrom the bottle take out the bowl and never had a prob x

He could be getting enough water from his food. I've had Buttons a year and have never saw him drink once. Misty loves to drink water from a feeding syringe. He comes over to the syringe and suckles at it himself to get water out then afterwords he sometimes goes to his water bottle. You could try something like that maybe.

maybe you could put a bit of cucumber on the end or a tiny bit of apple sauce.. just to get him to the bottle when he licks he may realise what the bottle is for.. he might not understand it..

Ron my problem is he does not drink full stop 98) this crazy little guy has never drank water other than syringe.

Lolseh yeah you're probably right i think he does get enough from his fruit and veg and me syringing him water, but as i know he stressed out last summer i just want to have another go at this :-\

what i did, because my pigs had a bowl when i first baught them, is just remove the bowl and put a water bottle in dont switch back because then they can't get used to the bottle, they willl sniff it out the watter and try to lick it and hozzar! they drink the water.
