How do I introduce my Piggies to floor time

I've had my Pigs for around 4 months now and they are pretty tame. They will happily eat and wheek away on my lap and when in there cage they will let me watch them popcorn around the cage and eating. They are still quite timid though so they won't come up to me in the cage and eat from my hand (how should I get them used to this). But I wont to start giving my Guinea Pigs some exercise but I've tried floor time before but they didn't really enjoy it. I made sure the room was safe but they just sat there staring at me. How should I get my Piggies used to floor time as it would be good for them to get exercise outside of their cage.

They will be nervous of a new area. Once they are out everyday having floor time they will get used to the space and begin to explore it. Make sure you include plenty of hidey houses so they feel safe.
