How Do I Know If My Boys Are Happy?

Possibly anxiety kicking in but I'm worried that my boys aren't happy even though everything is the same.

I change the inside of their cage every 2-3 days, they have piles of hay to eat and run around in...

Does anyone else have this problem?
 
Why would you think they are not happy?
I always think this too, but if they popcorn and wheek, no illness signs, I am pretty sure they're on cloud nine.
 
You are showing all the signs of being a caring owner. My Guinea pigs seem happy when I am around but wonder if some of this is the stimulation of something different being there - chucking in fresh hay etc.

I often wonder what they do when on their own. I should get a Web Cam but I doubt I'd get any work done then
 
Your boys have a wonderful life with more space and free ranging then a lot of piggies I know. I suspect this anxiety is just because you love them so much but rest assured they are happy and love their mum.
 
I'm sure your guineas are very happy, and that they have a gorgeous life!

Personally, I think that worrying about our guinea pigs is a full time occupation! Most of that worry is probably unfounded!
 
@Katherine It is definitely a full time occupation! Glad to not feel alone with this. They are popcorning and wheeking but haven't been running around in the same way but I suspect that it is the weather.

I'd love to get a webcam for them @PiggyOwner but knowing these boys they would manage to eat the cables haha!
 
@theoretikos You're definitely not alone! My OH says that my oft-to-be-heard cry of "Poor things" makes him feel so guilty! He has to remind me that they do pretty well really!

Haha I get the same from my boyfriend. He keeps saying that they don't know how lucky they are :D
