How do I persuade OH that 2 piggies just isn't enough?!

I really want more piggies.

My two boys are lovely but I have so much more love to give. I really want another pair of boys. I have enough money and cuddles to manage another pair and there always loads of boars needing homes and we are a no girls house so they would be ideal.

My OH is besotted with our boys but just doesn't understand why I feel the need for more. I think I need to take her pig dating. Thing is she dioesn't think any other pig measures up to ours!

I knwo lots of you have eventually managed to increase your pig numbers but how do you do it?!
 
i told my OH that i was rescuing 2 little ones from here (after my original 2) then i bought them home and decided they needed a boarfriend so added him to and just went on from there i didnt ask i told him :)

and now we're not together i'm glad i have my piggies :)
 
Say you are looking after them for someone whilst they move house and then see how she adapts to them if she likes them say you have the option to have them. works for me
 
I'd take her guinea pig dating, she won't be able to refuse once she's cuddled some cute boars!
OH felt it was too soon to have C and T at first but once he'd seen the pictures and read the sad story he was desperate and the proactive one in getting them.
 
Find an overlooked rescue pair that only you can give that much needed loving home to! The sad story is that there are quite a few of them, so you do not even need to lie! I find that a sob story worked best with mine - hub has a soft heart.
 
A friend for Pebbles was easy as I said she was the third wheel and my parents knew that to.

Bette and Milo totally different story - took me 6 months to get them to agree, and I showed them where I would keep them how it wouldn't affect them.

Milo's friend Esme - well I said I was giving Milo upto rescue as it wasn't fair keeping him on his own. My mum called to tell me to just get him a friend and bring him home :D

I don't 'ask' my hubby anymore, as the answer is always no and I end up feeling like a kid at school again:x

He never asks me if he can get a new game:{

I just say, I am picking up a couple of piggies if that's okay:), otherwise I would spend the next week or so begging if I said can I get lol :p
 
I currently have 9 piggies, perhaps soon to be 10 or 11 (so naughty!). For us because we had space, money, time etc it wasn't a difficult decision. I guess when your OH sees what other piggies are out there ready to be adopted she might come round. You guys obviously have lots of love for some more boars and I think most people get a lot of satisfaction from caring for animals. I love seeing all my piggies, happy together, it's just really lovely!
 
I only asked my OH as he was originally going to be be driving me to get my new girls. You should have seen his face when I told him the piggies were in Wales. Then again I got similar reactions from anyone I told that I was travelling from Edinburgh to Wales for piggies....I must be piggie mad :))

If you got the love, dedication, the time, the money, the space - i say GO FOR IT - sounds like you have a lot of love to give 2 more poor little boys out there desparate for a loving home like yours :))
 
Just do it. If you got the space and time then they go get somemore lovely guineas. Your oh will soon love the new guys.

I did it all the time the bf had no idea i got more until he came home from work. He loved them.
 
I've had parents to persuade, so if I can do it, you can!

I started in early March with Tigger and Munchie. I lost the last remaining member of my previous pig-family (Two dads, two mums, their babies plus 1) on Christmas Eve and decided that I'd quite like one or two more girls to go with them. First came Teaser, no problems (aside from the later development that she was sow aggressive). Then came Muffin and Butterscotch. Again, no problems.

Then I found Milhaven... ;) Willow and Izzy, soon followed by a girl that was advertised on here as free to a good home so then came Bean. Then Teaser obviously needed a boar to keep her company, so last but most certainly not least, home came Chip.

I now have 9 and 6 more on reserve that I'm going to meet. I'm not going to get away with any more after this until I've graduated and have a job I don't think. Well, maybe a husboar for the herd... rolleyes

My secret: Puppy eyes and persistance. Cracked my dad in no time ;)
