Well I have had my piggy’s for almost a year in november but i don’t know what gender they are? i assume they are the same gender bc they were all in a big habitat when i got them.
(I also read online that male pigs are messier so i think they are both males)

If you’ve had them, for a year without any babies being produced then they are both going to be the same sex!
You can’t tell what sex they are by how messy they are.
The only sure way is to carry out the sexing yourself. The guide below should help you. You can post a clear picture of your guinea pigs genitals on here and we can help, but it is easier for you to do it yourself as we obviously can’t have a hands on check of the pig.

Hi!

Please have a look at our sexing guide with plenty of pictures! Here is the link: Illustrated Sexing Guide

You can't just guess at the gender from behaviour and as not all places actually gender separate their piggies for sale, it is also no indication. We see plenty of people at the rough end of acquiring mis-sexed or already pregnant piggies on here. :(

If you struggle with the pictures in the guide (which you shouldn't since adult boars and sows look pretty different down below), then you are welcome to post pictures of the relevant body part in this thread here. Please keep in mind that the clearer and well lit (preferably day lit), the picture the more we can help you. We refuse to play guessing games when it comes to something as crucial as the gender! ;)

At 2 years old, intact boars are obvious as the testicles will have been fully developed for quite some time

Boys are definitely obvious from before a year old 😁 we’d love to see some pictures please.

The left looks like a boar. But the right isn’t clear at all. Likely a boar as well if there haven’t been any babies yet. Did you read through the sexing guide and check yourself?

I have read through it they areas both look the same so if you said the left one looked like a male I assume the are both male

I would agree the first one definitely looks like testicles have descended. In terms of looking the same it's not just looking at the outside but also peering inside the slit and feeling for the presence or absence of a penis ridge that will give you the full answer. It's all covered in the sexing guide.

Also it's worth seeing if you can get the penis to come out as you do need to make sure both boys are clean, it's not something you need to do weekly but definitely more than once a year to help them clean themselves if needs be
