How do I train my guinea pig...

... to drink out of a bowl? She is 2 and I want her to be able to drink out of a bowl. Thanks!

Leave the bowl next to her pellets. I am sure she will drink then.

It could help, but it would make the water in the bowl go manky very fast in this hot weather as carrot has sugars in. Just next to her dry pellets will do, she will go for the water to help eat the pellets then. Chomp, sip, chomp, sip....

Not all piggies will drink; some do so only very rarely and others drink lots. The individual intake varies a lot.

Personally, I prefer bottles with a drip dish to a bowl. Somehow, there are always poos and hays in a bowl of water, not to mention those piggies who are enamored with the concept of a water closet and use their bowl as a toilet...

Pitch and Putt never drank either, mind you their veg was always soaking wet.

I also use a bottle, but i'd like to take my piggie places and if/when she needs water a bowl would make it easier for me thank a water bottle.
