their nails still need trimming . I have a sow with brown nails and I just trim a little bit regularly . Sometimes , you can see the quick if you shine a light on the nail.
Just take a small amount off the end more regularly than if doing a full trim. Don't worry if you catch the quick a tiny bit as the bleeding will stop quickly and the pigs will forgive you. Just be careful and take just the tips off.
There's also a groove on the underside of the nail (if you can see or feel it!) Cut a short way before the groove ends. There are also helpful diagrams online so you can get a rough idea.
