How do you get round your partners for more piggies

On fb there's someone selling 2 lovely pigs and I want them BUT hubby says no 8...
Only just got my first ever pigs on Sunday and caught the bug...I want more lol. The ones I have are outdoors but I have a big indoor cage and said I could keep these 2 indoors. Nope was still the answer! Maybe it's too soon ... I'll try again next month lol

These 2 boys are just lovely. 4 months old and longhaired. I just need them in my life lol. Someone else has said hey may take them so hopefully they will be going to a god forever home.

Aww they're lovely :) I played the sympathy card to have more :)

Originally, I was going to sponser a piggy but hubby said 'why don't you just adopt a third'? So I did and along came Erin. She was up for reforming on the forum, I showed Chris her story and he agreed I could have her.

I felt Erin was sometimes left out so he agreed I could have a fourth as a playmate for Erin so along came Ena :)

So that is how I ended up with the four E's
 
You shouldn't have to ask lol.
My parents were totally against getting guinea pigs, they wanted me to get another dog (I wasn't ready for another).
A few days later I just came home with my two pigs and that was that! lol.
I don't regret it for a second and my mom loves them now, even my dad comes to pet them here and there (and he hates pets).
 
Hi, Sorry to be the bad guy, but just be careful adding boys to your clan. It can all end in disaster if they decide when they mature that they cannot live with each other - especially 4. Your 2 look lovely, spoil them rotten with lots of space and you'll have a cracking pair. Hope you don't mind this advice!
 
Luckily my mum loves piggles! (and my dad is very tolerant!)

She initially got Poggy when I was going to uni as someone to cuddle and talk to (bless her!) but now here, I'm back and we have 3 more and hopefully on our way to a fourth!

I think Vicky was suggesting keeping her two girls outdoors and the two boys indoors ;)
 
My OH never really needed convincing tbh, he loves piggies as much as I do :(|) I just used to say' oh, by the way, we have to go to wherever, whenever to collect some piggies' and that was that...he would plan and start making new pens whilst they were in quarantine :))
Sadly, we have no more room here now :( which depresses me at times with all of the needy ones I fall for 8...
 
Yes these would be kept seperate from my 2 boys. The fella just worrys about when we go away as we have a campervan but the way I look at it is already got 2 to sort out what's 2 more lol. We shall see. He will be home soon from work lol
 
I was naughty. I said I was just going to look after the piggy I saw being abused until I could find it a new home but instead kept him forever and got him a friend. :))

Dad was not happy at all but the funny thing was, said piggy is my dads favourite guinea pig now.
 
Well i had 2 and wanted more but my bf said no , but one day i was in a local pet store and this tiny little girl pig came up and started squeeking at me , so i asked for a cuddle and fell in love brought her home 3 months later i found out she was a he and i had 3 babys from 1 female and 4 from anougher femal but 2 was still born. I kept all of them , I have seen so many people intentionaly breeding and i hated it, I lost 1 3 days later he was deformed :( .
my partner didnt really get much choice, he wasnt happy but thats life lol.

My Friend took two of the boys recently as they started fighting with dad for teritory but i still get to see them .

all the rest are sat here besides me in there nice C & C cage along with Nugget the rescue piggie.

Yeap now I'm setting up my own rescue and am rehoming them :) BBest thing iv ever done.

Tho expencive but its great making unhappy pigs , happy again :)

Whats his reason? The answer just because isn't good enough.

Once you know his reasons it's at this stage can start your counter argument.

You could do what I did...just turned up with an extra one! rolleyes:))
 
I don't live with my girlfriend so I don't have to get around her, however she loves my piggies like her own so it wouldn't be an issue anyway.
My parents also love animals so again I'm pretty much free to do what I like! I don't think my mum wants to me to have too many though, my bedroom would be too crowed if I had more than 8. I think I may stick at six though :p

Never had to convince as I just don't tell him and just get the piggy. rolleyes He's great though - very tolerant
The last one I got came from a cleaning lady at work. Her son had got bored and didn't want him and I agreed to take him just to get him out of that situation and rehome him myself.
He turned out to be a fantastic, bold and intelligent little piggy and it was the OH who suggested keeping him. Result! ;)
 
Well he's firmly said no saying he don't want any more pets stopping us from doing things. Could understand it if we actually did things lol. Have a campervan which hardly gets used and he works 6 days a week till 8-9pm. And he's never had to do a thing for my pets. Grrr. Kinda annoyed now lol
 
Has he seen them? Could you not just go and get them and fib to him and say someone left them on your doorstep or something? We have a caravan and this is our main problem with getting anymore is lac of space for another cage.
 
Someone else has had them now. They have gone to someone who used to own them growing up so should have a great life now. I think next time I'll just get them and them and him just have a moan for a day lol
 
I played the "the boys need to have company, female company" card. try it the other way round :)

Obviously, you can't have two boys together with a girls sooo... you'd have to get two separate cages for the boys. Then each boy would need at least one girl... oooh where will it end :)
 
I've done all sorts to get piggies lol. I've turned up home with them, my friend has bought them for me as a present lol, my mum bought me 1 lol. I got one once and cos I knew he'd be mad 1 just put it in the shed with the others, he never goes in there cos its my piggie shed and because I've got so many (38 now) I thought 'he'll never know' lol. Little wotsits grassed me up though cos it turned out she was pregnant and had a baby so I had to tell him then lol:)) he was not pleased and I got a massive lecture on not lying and hiding things :red
