now to some people only four piggies seems like a tiny amount but i have come to the conclusion after these i will only ever have two at once, to me four is a lot for the cage must be much larger, more food and the amount of time to bond with them is a large amount if * want super cuddly ones (like i do) has only one else realise that they have gotten to many than they thought they can handle, i for one has but i will never rehome for that is just not good as i took these piggies for a reason they were meant to be mine lol, does anyone else feel the same like i love all mine the same but i have realise two is now the number i will stay after these lot

I have 8 and as of this afternoon I am looking after 2 more for a couple months to help someone out. I feel overwhelmed sometimes. It takes 2 hours to change all the fleece every 3-4 days. 45 min everyday to spot clean the cage and clean the kitchen area as well as change water, food, hay. I find it rewarding work but some days it takes a lot in me to do it. I love my herd though so I would never give anyone up but I think it might be easier with maybe 4-6. I never meant to get this many but with certain guinea pigs not getting along and wanting everyone to have a buddy I ended up with this many. I understand 100% what you mean!

yeah i love mine so much and when i see a certain piggy i am like one more but i know i cant handle it i am so amazed of how well ppl with 30or more do it

I'm thinking the same thing right now. I have 2 piggies, 2 dogs, I'm getting a job I'm in school and in 3 weeks I'm getting a little hamster. I think that when I went out to buy my hamster stuff it dawned on me that this is going to be a lot of work. But I've already fell in love with the little guy and I wouldn't dream of getting rid of my babies I have now. But I think I agree, 2 or 3 is a good limit.
