How do you pick nettles for guinea pigs? how do you prep them
i just want to check.

"Carefully," lol. Seriously, wear gloves ,cut stems, tire with string and hang heads downwards, in a shed or greenhouse till papery dry.

I wore garden gloves when picking. I took off just leaves then spread them out to dry.

Try to pull up by the roots,and dry the same, because of their milk, they take longer to dry. All is eatable.

With nettles it helps to bash the stems with a bit of wood or hammer, think of someone or something that as made you mad ,works for me,lol

Breaks the fibres in the stems help dry them .

After some pretty crappy news a couple of days ago, I don't think there are enough nettles in the world to work off what I feel .

I take it, from the comments here, that piggies can't have fresh nettles. Is that right? Is there a limit on how much of the dried ones they can have?
