My nice dad has drawn a plan up for my new cage/hutch he is building for me, alreday done the buns palace :) It i going to be 6ft x 2ft so it fits snug down the back wall of the shed. It will also be 2 tiers so 6 x 2 x 2 levels, wohoo :D At first it was just going to be a cage so made form mesh and wood batons and lino floors but since it's going in the shed my dad said to make it with full wood back and sides, cos it'll be agains the shed sides. The whole fron bottom level will be hinged so it can pull down for cleaning and either a hinged roof on top level or full hinged front like bottom.

Does this sound good to people. I'll have to save up abit of money, need mesh from wilkosons, wood batons and pine claddin from B&Q and some hinges and bolts things, nails and bits and bobs, so better start getting money together.

Plus it will save me some mone and will be cheaper than getting ones from the shop to. My dad made this for the bunnies and it was less than £100 for it all, paint, ood and everything. :) So he's quite the DIY dad, lol.

Lol building your own is much better i think, it's cheaper and your design. Thatwas custom built for 5 small breed buns when bonded to live in, with a permanant run on to. Keeps out rain and wind and i don't need to run out to cover them up when it's raining :)

Also the cgae will be holding Petal and Jessie and top secret dad doesn't know another piggie will be joining sometime in the future, curtersy of me nagging my mam for hours last night ;D

On the first pic is that were the buns now live? is there no mesh on it?

Thepic was took before extras where added in. On the rightside theres windows on the roof for light and o the left where the roof door is where the bed area is you can lift up and there's mesh underneath so it's lifted all day plus they go in the run every day to, it's keeps them warm, no worries of covers blowing off, or rain gettinginside :)

It's not finished yet it's where the 3 girls live, once there neuterd and bonded Buttons run is going on the side and a door for accesswhen they want all day :)

It's just like a mini built shed :)

Can you post a pic of the outside of it please? It seems like a really good idea :)

Sure i'll ahve to get some new pics of it though, cos i only took old ones before it was done :)

Looks brilliant. You dad is very talented in the D.I.Y. department, and by the looks of it the rabbits love it. O0

Thanks it's just the girls in there now, other 2 boysare one recovering and one awaiting castration >:D So a huge permanent run can be attached when all 5 are together so they can go outsid when they want and inside if they want to. It's great for rain so i can just open the door and put there food in without taking covers of and everything getting soaked, so paratical all round O0

Sounds brilliant. Would love to see pictures when it is completed and they are all living happily together. O0

Don't worry 'll have lots of pics and off the piggie cage aswell :) Bun onemight be awhile, lol still 4 buns for neutering 1 boy and 3 girls left, unfortunatly poor Cleo has to go in for her bottom teeth out so we had to put back Caspers neutering for another week or 2 :(
