We have a C&C which is currently on a C&C grid stand (so 35cm high).
This is a great height for the kids (who do a large share of the cleaning and daily care of the guinea pigs), but it is starting to drive me slightly crazy.
I am tall, and constantly bending over is a pain.
Plus it is impossible to clean properly underneath, as all of the grids prevent me getting to the floor at the back of the cage which is along a wall.

So I am thinking of raising the cage and putting it on some tables, but I'm undecided about height.
I am thinking 60 cm legs for the table and a step stool for the kids, but would love to hear what others found to be a comfortable height for their cages.

My cages are on tables with legs which I think are 80 or 90 cm high? I have to use a step to spot clean over the grid walls. For full clean outs I remove the front row of grids so it’s just the correx I have to reach over!

My cage is on top of two layers of c&c grid stands, so the cage floor is raised 70 cm from the floor. I find this height perfect, being 170 cm tall myself. I can just reach the back wall of the cage without removing any grids, so cleaning is easy. The whole system is also so light, that I just lift and move it if I need to vacuum the floor underneath. I used to have the cage on Ikea coffee tables, and that height was plain murder on my back!

The two layer c&c stand also provides much needed storage space for everything piggy-related

Ours is sitting on top of kitchen units (in the living room) I think it would be far easy to clean if it had opening doors.
I do agree! I wish C& C grids had proper doors in their set up. I tried having an opening between two areas as Oliver the Husboar enjoys visiting other sow groups but the blasted grid kept coming off or falling over!

Mine is on a folding craft table. I'm not sure what height they are but I find them no bother to clean and they look nice too. Only issue was I have had to put grid bases on the cage so it sits better on the table. Plus side is that I've got plenty storage underneath and it's hidden by lovely curtains my mother in law made me.

I made door by making hinges on one side with cable ties, and just popping a connector on the top to 'lock' it when I want it to stay closed. (I have a small cage in the living room for floor time, and I tempt them into it with veggies and close the door to make them easier to catch to take back to their big cage).

Just wonder why there is such a problem being able to buy a suitable connector door to use with C@ C. It’s great otherwise but I just feel it destabilises my divisions between piggy groups and has been known to disconnect at the weakest point.
