Senior Guinea Pig
can the piggies go back on it?
It is just the grass cuttings that are the problem, never heard that the grass itself was a problem, tell me otherwise if I am wrong.
I don't use a mower - my piggies do a fantastic job but I just cut down the long bits with hand held clippers
The grass will be fine - only if you have left the clippings it could cause a problem. Just rake them up and dispose of them, if that's the case, and let the piggies at the new grass drool
we had some poisonous plants growing so had to dig them up and mow completely to make sure all of it was gone. :...
it looks quite dead now so i doubt they could get much to eat! rolleyes might give it a few days and let them out and by then there should be some new growth.![]()
Talking about lawns, I was told that moss is poisonous to piggies, can anyone confirm this?![]()
What poisonous plants? If it all looks dead then I wouldn't let the piggies on it :^- Any weeds will grow faster than the grass, especially at this time of year, so the poisonous ones? could come back.
When my grass gets really tired, mine are relegated to the indoor pens and the grass left to recover, but I do cut grass for them from other safe areas to put in the pens.
