How long can veg be chopped and stored for?

Hi,
I'm going away for the week in a couple of weeks and my parents are looking after the pigs. I was just wondering of i pre-prepared all the veg for the week and kept it in boxes or bags how long would it last? They would be kept in my electric cool box where i normally keep my veg ( my parents were getting annoyed at how much room it took up in the fridge )

Yay, they certainly take up most of the room in my fridge. Your veggies should be fine in the cool box for a week, as long as you get the freshist veggies to start with. A good idea, then you will know they are getting right amount of food per day x

As said above if you are getting veggies that day and preparing for the week you should be ok. I would go for airtight boxes to keep them as fresh as possible.

If you put a little water in each box then the veggie will stay crisp and fresh. I prepare my veg the night before for the morning so I can have a longer lie in.
