how long do piggies need outside

Many of you probably wont agree with this but mine are out from april to september they have a wooden shed for shelter which has a heater in it the area they are in is approx 14 foot square the only downside is they eat the grass quicker than it can grow

Well, my 12 piggys are outside all the time in the UK. They love the wind, rain and outside smells and chirpy birds all day long (well, i think so).

They are well protected from draughts, rain, sunshine not to mention the obvious - cats, foxes , wild ferrets, stoats, mice and weasels etc.

I will be keeping them outside all winter but will install a radiator system with a thermostat to keep the temperature at about 7 degrees Cen.

Mine seem to enjoy their outdoor time in the summer but I like the fact that I don't have to sit in the cold with them in the winter to give them attention - they're as much a part of life in the winter as they are in the summer.
