Hi
Can anyone tell me how long it takes fibreplex to start to work. You may remember my old piggy Noodles recovered well from a facial abscess recently, but she seems to have had a delayed reaction to the anitibiotics she was on - she has dropped weight (I am weighing her daily) and is now at 790gm and is 5 1/2 years old - she is on metacam and is eating well, but still has very loose poos- I am also feeding her additional recovery food - and gave her some poop soup last night as I wasnt sure if the fibreplex was getting into her - have made sure she is definitely getting the fibreplex by watering it down slightly and putting it in a better syringe so I know how much she has definitely taken .

Give it a day or two to process, especially if the guts are still a bit sluggish. You have to be aware that older guinea pigs are much slower to put weight back on and most will never do so fully.
