Its day 2 of having Wilf and when I went out there this morning to check on him, it appears he hasnt eaten any of his P@H museli? Is this normal that it will take them longer to eat in a new home or should I try him on something different? Last night he picked a few bits out of the museli but nothing much, I also have just put some veggies out there which he didnt take much notice in, but he is eating his hay. Any ideas?

Thanks! Frankee and Wilf

d you know what the little one ate where you got him from. he is only little and hay is there main food of choice as long as he is eating hay and drinking i wouldn,t worry too much he needs to settle in.

Hay is 80% of their diet, veggies 15% and dried 5% so he may take a while to eat the museli.

Museli can bring about selective feeding as pigs will only eat what they like this is why pellets are better. I have a couple of pigs and I have to top up morning and night but another couple of mine go once a day they are all different. :)

I dont know what the woman was feeding them before I got Wilf, I will see if I can find out and change according to what she was feeding. I know he has definately been eating the hay as the amount has gone down considerably from last night! Thanks for all your help :)

An update- Yesterday I changed Wilf's food, I mixed the pellats in with a small amount of his museli and bizzarely he seems to be eating this now, which I'm very glad about! He's still continuing with his hay and water but veggies are now a bit of an issue apart from cucumber, so I'm going to the supermarket this morning to get some different ones for him to try, thanks for your help everyone :)
