Without cutting any corners and still ensuring every part of my boys cage is spotless and perfectly neat I've managed to clean and tidy their cosy home in 32 minutes 27 seconds, sadly there was no fun and games or butt rubs which we all enjoy so much... i'll ensure there'll be but rub heaven on my day off.

I can do a complete clean in 30mins if I absolutely have to, but I have to confess it takes me hours cause I have to stop and play all the time.

quickest i have done for a full cage and adjoining run clean is 42 minutes - that's for remove all cage material, vinegar the cage corners, disinfect the whole thing, newspaper down, snowflake on top, hay in the hidie home, tip out two litter trays, disinfect trays, add newspaper and hay, remove fleece from adjoining run, quick hoover around the run frame and disinfect any wee stains on frame, replace run area with clean fleece, put all litter trays and hidies back in, take out old fleece and shake outside and tip waste into recycling bin! Phew!

Sunday is our major cage clean day where they all get a health check, pedicure and bum trim if required. It takes us around 4-5 hours as we cant help but play with and cuddle them (13) when they come out of their cages.

My cage has five levels split into two homes for two pairs of piggies. Mine have fleece, vetbed and a tray each of Fitch and hay, and two water bottles each, soft beds and hidies and wooden tunnels. I don't know how this compares to other set-ups and if people with multi-level cages get through their cleaning/changing quicker or not ..... :)
It doesn't take long to whip out the fleece mats/quilts, give a scrub and replace with fresh, or long to remove their hidies/toys and replace with clean fresh ones. What DOES take me quite a while is brushing all the fleece down! The washing machine I have is of a large capacity but it still takes three full loads to clean it all.
I've never quite timed myself but I'm lucky if I can achieve it in less than an hour (not including the washing of the fleece or taking out the rubbish, or hovering up the mess I have made :) Luckily I quite enjoy it. I hate the hoovering afterwards though. I always hate hoovering!

Lol hahaha yes you do a bit @Critter XD

Aidan does our's hahaha, only he's been doing them quick just lately so they aren't as clean as I'd like, it's because we're switching them around with us building cages for them, also he splits them, he does three one day and two another :)

Mine takes forever, between 1-2 hours! And that's without distractions! Like @Critter said, checking the forum is the biggest distraction lol

I have 8 cages to cleen and l wash the vetbeds cossies and fleeses on the same days.
I try and get it so that l have 4 to cleen 1 day and 4 the next.
The time taken ... if i start at noon, l am usualy finished by 4oclock,
5oclock if l am mopping the pig room floor at the same time

Opps 9 cages 10 including the hostpital /isolation cage when it is in use

Eight cages! How many pigs do you have?

I can do the entire playhouse in around 30-45 mins, and the indoor cage I could get done in around 15 mins, I use puppy pads though, costs a fortune but they can be easily rolled up with most of the substrate and thrown away!

Those little faces  lovely to see your piggies dude

I clean the boys out every 4 days and alternate big cleans with mini cleans. I can do a mini one in 30mins but the big one takes 1-1.25hrs

Haha...takes me about 2 hrs at the moment because every time I do a full clean out I keep changing my cage around. Pretty much got it how I want now so hoping it will take less time to do.

Just a quick question for all of those who use fleece bedding....how many 'sets' of fleece do you have so that you have plenty? I use our on-site Laundarette (I live in a caravan) which has large top loader washers which cost £4 a load so I want to make sure I get my £4 worth for the wash so was thinking I could make 3 sets of fleece so I can wash 2 sets at the same time.

I've got two 1.6*1.6m fleeces but could really do with another two to cut down on the washing machine use. I could easily wash three together.
