How Long For Quarantine?

How long should I quarantine my new boys? They're currently in the kitchen, but I'm finally getting rid of the bed in the piggy room, so I'm dying to get them up there. They will still be in a separate cage a few feet away from the others, so would it be okay to move them today? (One week since I got them)

I wouldn't, but I know there are different views on this. I had mine in a separate cage 8 foot away but same room, hygene routine followed and they gave my oldies URIs. I would never repeat that one. From now on it's 2 weeks in a separate room.

Thanks @Katiedid I kind of expected that to be the answer. It's a pain right now, as their temp cage is bare minimum size, and sitting on my table..

Please wait 2-3 weeks. The time between infection and outbreak in ringworm and fungal infections is 10-14 days.

You can either conduct a full mandatory quarantine or you will have to treat and pay for both guinea pigs' vet cost if a problem shows up.
