how long if the weathers good enough do you leave yours out? just curiosity really! :)

It depends on rather a lot of factors -

how long I am in the garden for
if there are any little, new and easily scared young ones in the herd
if there are any delicate tummies (not too much grass)
if the weather is on the cooler side and there is an oldie in the herd

But if I can then they go the full forty minutes. Time to fill up the tummy, snooze and let it settle, then get a bit more grass on top. When they come in again they are completely flopped for a while!

According to weather i try to make sure mine get atleast 40 minutes, which is normally how long I'm pottering around the garden anyway.
If i've got lots of gardening to do it can be up to a couple of hours. But i put them on the patio so their not eating to much grass and are wearing their nails down at the same time :)

when the weather is nice my boys go in their out door hutch for a couple hours but I give them about 30 minuets either on the grass or on the slabs to wear their claws down.
I dont leave them to long as we get alot of foxes, cats & pheasants in my garden so I have to be on the look out
