I just discovered that handsome Ollie and his chocolate bat hippo wife Tallulah-oolah-woolah like blueberries, the main herd generally despise fruit as suspicious and evil foods and bury it in the toilet... but these two like strawberries, and now blueberries!
How many blueberries is sensible as an occasional treat? Ollie says lots but I am trying to resist his handsome silver fox treat begging face... they've had 2 each tonight to try and I might put another 3 or 4 in his paper bag of hay and treat veg tomorrow... or is that too many in a week? Ollie is a bit posh, wanting rocket and blueberries in his treat bag... I do like it when I discover new foods Tallulah likes though because she's always starving with her crazy hyperactive skinny pig metabolism, and then I cant leave her lovely husband out...

I only have 1 piggy that will eat them, he gets 1 or 2 occasionally. He's the same with grapes, the only one that likes them so he gets one if I buy them which isn't very often.

Now Tallulah-oolah-woolah has learned of the existence of blueberries she won't stop wheeking... an ear splitting wheek she has like she's starving, even though she's just eaten a dinner of red pepper and lettuce and pellets and a big pile of hay!

If Eddi were here he would say unlimited blueberries for all.
Eddi loved blueberries, and was spearheading a campaign to rewrite the diet guides on the Forum to list blueberries as 80% of the diet.

I always treated them like other sweet stuff (fruit, carrots) and tried to limit him to 1 - 2 blueberries twice a week.
Realistically Eddi was pretty cute and I know the kids slipped him more than that, but in hindsight I am not sorry that they did.

I thought blueberries might be easier to manage than the strawberry obsession because they dont smell so strong and I could keep them secret, but apparently not... I shouldnt have tried them out as a mid afternoon treat...Tallulah just knows I have fruit now and she will wheek all night if necessary! Maybe 1 more each before bed and 3 or 4 tomorrow in their treat bags in the playpen then I wont buy any more for a couple of weeks... even while I'm typing this there are accusing piggy faces and the alarmingly loud hungry oolah-woolah wheek that makes me worried my neighbours will call the RSPCA or the police even!
