How many grams of food?

Hello everyone! Today my kitchen scale arrived for weighing Eddie! Yay! I’ve heard some people weigh out their piggies veggies to make sure they get the right amount, so I wanted to know how many grams of veg a 1,090gm boar would need in a day.

I believe that a piggy's diet should consist of 10-15% veg and fresh herbs (1 cupful / 50g / about 2oz).
I have always given my piglets a bit more than that, though.

Yes, as above - veg is one cup which equates to around 50g but it is going to depend which veggies you use! 50g of lettuce will amount to a lot more than 50g of cucumber!
I just use a measuring jug, fill it up to around 2 cups (1 cup per pig) - I don’t ever use scales to weigh veg - and if some days it’s more than that then that’s fine because the next day they may get less.
The only food source I am very careful about ensuring isn’t overfed (and I actually underfeed) is pellets and stick strictly to limited amounts
