I noticed that it is mostly girls with guinea pigs and I was wondering how many guys have them too.
I was going to get a puppy before I got pigs, I was walking around the pet store randomly (Not for a puppy) and saw these little guys and I had to have them.
My girlfriend absolutely adores them, but most of my male friends just don't care.
They think they are cute but would not want them as a pet.

So how many guys are here that actually have guinea pigs?

My partner, who's not on the forum, has 5 of his own pigs :) but he only got interested in them because I got some :)

Hi,

I have four gorgeous piggies and I'm a guy. Wouldnt be without them, they are all so cute and i love their different personalities.

My OH loves our 3 piggies as much as i do, they are our pigs. and we always fight over who will keep them if we split up ha ha, which is a no brainer, it would so be me!

Two of our four belong to my younger brothers but I'm the one who cares for them all so really they are mine!

My partner has always preferred cats and dogs. When he became my boyfriend, he took me and at the time 7 guinea pigs on. He isn't really attentive to them but I can see how much he loves them and is attached to them. He's cried after every one thats died, even one he never held (too skittish to over handle)

Can't lie, i'd probably shed a tear too, they are so cute, especially when there looking up at you with that cute little face.
When I go to pet Momo he will always lift up his head and turns it to the right because he likes me lightly scratching between his neck and head.
He will start rubbing my palm with his cheek and nose, its so cute lol.

My OH cried solidly for about a week when we tragically lost 2 piggies in the space of 2 days, both of us hardly ate, hardly slept and just held each other for about a week, we were wrecks!

Ooh what I'd give for an OH who liked pigs!

Mine tolerates them but I think he's scared of them. He did cry when he took his sisters pig to be PTS though so maybe there's hope!

2 of my piggies live in my boyfriends room he loves them ! he's on the forum every now and then rolleyes

My OH, after getting used to the sheer number of piggies I have finally succumbed to their charm and got himself two beautiful little ladies. He really does adore them!

I love my 3. It may be more in the next couple of weeks though! I'm just hoping the girls aren't pregnant. I'm putting the weight gain down to plenty of lawn time with loads of grass and not Rebel the dirty la'al ! :))

well our piggies were originally our daughters but I am now number one slave and I am a 48 year old male into heavy rock and blues considering seeing Disturbed on their next UK Tour.

I'm a 44 year old motorway traffic officer, my piggies are my escape from some of the carnage I encounter at work. They're my personal therapists. :))

I have 6 at the mo 5 sows and 1 boar, but I'm getting another one soon with her babies (if she has any sow babies) :)

my oh when he was younger had 5 of his own and each of his brothers had their own making 20 altogether.
now we have 4 but would like to add a couple more to the cuddle of cavvy's

jo and the piggies xx

Same ways here, I work in a pretty rough environment, I wouldn't be your typical guy that would ever get guinea pigs lol, but they are an escape from life for me whenever I am at home.
I love them and so does my little brother, they are so cute I can't help but do anything I can to make them happy and popcorning all day, love watching them explore and running laps.
I'm more of a rottweiler or pitbull type of guy (I'm still getting a rotty, just waiting on the breeder) my 8 year old pitbull died 3 months ago, and I got guinea pigs a month later.
But having never had guinea pigs, and have had 2 dogs in my life, I would say both have there equal advantages and disadvantages.
