How much food (pellets) should I feed my piggy each day?

Uusausually theres a feeding guide on the packet. Id say mine eat just under half a mug each, each day. Give or take some. Bearing in mind your piggie should have constant supply of fresh hay and some fresh fruit and veg each day too i guess it's not really that much. What i would suggest is half filling the bowl if you have one pig and see how much of that they eat. Every pig is different some like to stuff their faces non stop some are a bit more restrained when it comes to food.

Hi,

My vet told me 2 egg cupfuls a day, as long as they're getting the right amount of veg and fruit too :)

The nuggets say on packet and I feed the lower amount. The p@H ones are 30-50gms per pig. I weigh mine out daily and give 30gms per pig (did it at first so I knew how much but now it has become and obsession :)) )

It barely covers the bottom of a ceramic rabbit bowl so it is not much at all. Mine also get a ceramic rabbit bowl full of veg between two per day and endless supply of hay (3/4 hay racks per day between 2) !

Young guinea pigs up to six months - give the full amount, after that give the lowest amount on the pack or even less if combined with plenty of hay and veg.

If you got hutch piggies, maybe a bit more on cold days/frosty nights.

Mine are on a diet, so get a lot less pellets then the reccommended amount. They do get unlimited hay and plenty of veg.
