I know carrots can't be given every day or anything like that because they can be dangerous, but I'm wondering how much you give your pigs and how often? Mine love carrots and they're one of the cheapest vegetables I can buy from my local supermarket. I only give them a few times a week at the very most (I have two boars) as advised, but how MUCH do you give them as well? One carrot per pig or is that too much? Don't want to make them ill!

My boys love carrots as well! (In fact they love everything they're not allowed lots of!) I'm no expert so I could be doing this wrong but I give 2 or 3 small slices each every other night, I used to give every night but got worried it was too much so cut it down.

i think recommended is a slice or two a couple of times a week. i know with rabbits it's a 1/4 inch slice a week as a treat so imagine with the sugar content it might be the same for pigs? i don't feed it personally so not 100% sure :)

Mine only get a couple of slices of carrot each once a week.Seen a thread about growing the tops to feed them. Can anyone tell me if they can have leaves more often?
