i have 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs and i spend about £150 a month on them for hay, dry food, veg, treats, blankets, toys etc... that's not including vets bills!

i'm so skint aswell! every penny i have goes on my pets. but they're so worth it, and i want them to have the best...because it's what they deserve. :)

On eight pigs (soon to go up to 10 pigs):

£10-£15 a week on veg
£20 a month on dry pellets
£10 a month on hay

Nothing on bedding as I use fleece, though if you added the cost of washing tablets up it'd be something ridiculous like £2 a month. :))

Well, I spend about £20 on my piggies a month, as I only buy food, treats, bedding and hay. I generally buy massive bags of bedding and hay, so that last me about two months. Food lasts me about a month, and depending on Tobii's behaviour while we are checking him over, treats can last fot two weeks or more..

x2 GSD =
Dry food per month £35 per month
Raw Meat £44 per month
Insurance £30
treats £5 per month

x5 Piggies =
Veg £5 per month
Dried food £5 per month
Hay £5 per month

Total on pets = £130 (approx)

I have 12 guinea pigs and buy vegetables once a week for around £30. Then they get ready grass, hay, pellets... and fleece blankets. I'd rather not add how much I spend in total per month... :red :...

I have three cats as well as my guinea pigs and sometimes over half my weekly shop is on food and treats for my animals. I tend to go to Lidl for fresh fruit and veg for the pigs though and that brings the cost down. We have a farmers market in our village once a month and I went today and got four HUGE cabbages for 50p each along with some kale, carrots and cauliflower so that will keep them and us going for a while.

i havent every counting how much i spend a month. lets just say for 2 piggies i spent about £200 on vet bills and henry who passed monday i spent £300 in vet bills money is no object when it comes to my pets.
